"Nkasi Okafor is an associate in the Litigation Department of Hughes Hubbard & Reed LLP's New York Office. She attended the Columbia University School of Law, where she obtained her Juris Doctorate degree in 2005, and Duke University, where she graduated with degrees in History (with distinction) and Public Policy in 2002. At Columbia School of Law, she co-founded IMPACT 2004, a national organization created to protect voters' rights, and she received the Ellen Chapnick ""Make It So"" award for public interest service. She also served as the Director of Community Service of the Black Law Students Association (BLSA) in 2004, the same year in which Columbia BLSA won the Northeast Regional Prize for Community Service. Further, Ms. Nkasi was one of the recipients of the Legal Aid Society's 2007 Pro Bono Awards for Outstanding Service. She is admitted to the New York Bar."
